1.8 - Graduation Present

Today was graduation which meant Cole left day after tomorrow.  Seeing as most of her day would be stolen by the award ceremony, Summer decided to do some chores, set up her studio, redecorate, and get started on some artwork because she spent the last few days crying and sleeping.

First up was laundry. The washing was easy, but drying was a pain. She had no room or money for an electric dryer so she had to resort to a clothes line in her backyard. Plus, it was fall so it rained a lot. How are you supposed to dry clothes if there is no dryer and it's raining?
Next, she went to set up her new studio. She only had a few simoleans left so in order to buy all the nescessities, she sold off all the items in the spare bedroom and the coffee maker. The final product was totally worth it though. Now she had a new easel, a sculpting set, a sketch book and a new street-art kit!
First thing Summer wanted to try was sculpting.
It wasn't exactly easy and it took a lot of time.
But she was proud of the final project, even if  'the man' though it was only worth 13 simoleans.
Before continuing her chores, Summer put a little time into her painting as well.

The rain had died down a bit so Summer decided now would be a great time to rake the leaves in the backyard.
The actual raking wasn't any fun, but getting to play in the pile totally was. The rain did kill the mood a bit and Summer was in need of a shower.
Freshly clean, Summer tested out her other new toys.

The sketch book was a lot of fun. It was quick and easy and she could take it anywhere!
She could also do street art anywhere. She didn't have much skill now but soon she hoped she could hang out downtown and get tips for her artwork.
After a hard day of chores and artwork, it was time for graduation.
The ceremony dragged on and all some received were some tacky clothes and an award that read 'Most likely to become a millionaire.'  Ya. That wasn't happening soon. She didn't even have enough money to make waffles!
One good thing did come from graduation though.

"Cole!" She ran up to him and gave him a big hug. "I've missed you! Please tell me you are coming over tomorrow."
"Yeah I am, but I can't stay long the next morning. I have to check in with the sergeant and then head off to base."

"Oh. Well you should come over early then. I can try and make breakfast and then..."
Cole uninterrupted her, "I can't, Summer I have stuff to do."

Summer frowned but put the blow behind her. "Alright.." She tried to make conversation but Cole wasn't even listening. Eventually he claimed he had to go because of some midnight boot camp.

Summer knew he was lying but she had no choice. She headed home and as soon as she stepped onto the property, she wished she hadn't.
Tucked inside the baby blanket was a note.

Dear Summer,
His name is Manu. I can't keep him. I would be ruined if people found out I had a baby with a married man. Oh, and I thought I should let you know, he is a genie. Don't let anyone find out i'm his mother. If you can't keep him send him to an agency but don't let them know who his parents are. Thank you ever so much,
Your dear sister,
Wendy Rain
The pink larva cried and screamed. Summer would love to do the same right about now. She just graduated and now she had a baby? This guy couldn't be more than a day old. How in the world was she going to support a baby if she can't even afford to feed herself proper food?

He needed a place to sleep so she sold off her dresser and bought a very cheap crib.
After putting Manu to bed, Summer calmly strolled into her studio and proceeded to freak the hell out.

1.7 - Birthday Girl

The morning pf her birthday, Summer found another light outside. Stupidly, she went and looked at it at was abducted again!
Just like before, she automatically went into her room and began painting again.
After she finished the painting, she headed over to Cole's house to celebrate her birthday, and in turn say good bye to him for a while. When she got to the address he had given her, she was shocked. The house was beautiful.
The inside was even more gorgeous. It was colorful and fun.
Summer's favorite part was all the artwork and sculptures scattered around the house.
Cole came downstairs and said hello.

"Cole! Why didn't you tell me you lived in such a fantastic home!" She squealed with joy.
"I don't know I guess I never thought about it. But Summer, there is something I have thought a lot about."
Summer suddenly felt sad and afraid. This didn't sound good. Was he going to break up with her?
"I am going to enlist in the military when I become an adult. Its only a few months. Three seasons to be exact. And, I'm sorry for this part, but I can't leave my girlfriend behind. It would be too painful. So, when I leave consider us broken up."

Sumer was going to cry. This was the worst birthday ever.

"When I come back," Cole continued, "consider yourself my wife."
"I want to experience the world and I can't do that if I am too worried about my girlfriend running away with another man while I'm on leave." he tried to explain.

Summer didn't get it. She didn't want to. He was leaving? When? What can't he just stay?
"Please don't break up with me Cole. You make me too happy to step out of my life right now. It's my birthday." She fought back tears.

"Babe, I leave in a week. Please try and understand by then. The night before I leave I promise I will stay the night at your house. I do love you Summer. I will come back for you."
Summer nodded. She gave Cole a final kiss and then felt the sparkles take over.
Cole wasn't exactly thrilled about her aging up. It really sucks having a partner that is older than you. Now they cant even spend there last few days together without drawing negative attention to themselves.
Summer aged up...
and after a quick makeover, she was back to her old self again. Only taller and was now old enough to move out.
She turned toward Cole and looked down on him. She gave him a hug and began to cry.
"I don't want to lose you Cole. I love you."
Cole took a deep breath and flatly said, "I love you too, but it's time you leave. I will see you later Summer."
Summer would not be going home to her family tonight. She rode a taxi to the business center and took out a $20,000 high risk loan and bought the first house she could find.
It was a very nice house, but with her hastly purchase Summer didn't realize that half the house belonged to someone else.
The someone else was her new neighbor Daphne.
She looked like a cross between an oompa loompa and Snooki. She acted like it too.

"Oh hiiii," she slurred "you jus' bought the place rightt? Cool. Now I can have someone hold me up for a kegger stand!"
Summer felt really uncomfortable. She had never partied in her live and now she lived next door to a drunk. Whoopie!
Summer quickly ended the conversation and instead of even glimpsing at the other aspects of her new house, she jumped in bed and went to sleep.

1.6 - Summer Festival

In the middle of the night, Summer decided to investigate a strange array of lights outside of her apartment.
What she didn't know was that those lights are actually an alien space ship, here to abduct her!
While her sister was off who knows where, Wendy began feeling ill again. She ran to the toilet and vomited her guts out.
Wendy decided that the next morning, she would go down to the hospital and see if they could tell what was wrong with her.
Apparently, Summer's visit wasn't a friendly one.
Summer ran inside and began to paint what she remembered of her abductors.
Before she could head off to the Summer festival (haha Summer the heir at the Summer festival? Lawl.), She had to get her homework done. She was hardly passing with a C.
When all her work was finally done, she headed off to the subway and took off for the festival.
Meanwhile, Wendy had finally made it to the doctors office. On her way in, she met one of her co-workers. Wendy though he was attractive but he was married.

She had been waiting for almost an hour when the doctor called her in and told her to sit down.
"Ms. Rain," the doctor said very flatly, "You seem to have severe anemia. Your body isn't producing enough red blood cells. This in turn makes it so your organs are not getting enough oxygen."

Wendy was stunned. "What does that mean? How will this affect my life? Am I going to die?"

"No, but you will have to take iron supplements everyday for the rest of your life. You will feel weak. For the next few weeks I recommend you relax as much as possible. Take a vacation. Well, that's all. See the receptionist and she will give you your prescription."

He stood up and walked out the door.
Wendy thought about what she had been told. She was weak. She would have to rely on pills forever. She could no longer overwork herself. How was she going to become a famous reporter if she had to relax all the time?
Wendy left the tiny room but instead of heading home, she sat down in an empty room and cried.
Summer arrived at the festival and was immediately greeted Cole with a great big kiss.
He didn't mind though. He graciously returned the favor.
Summer was very excited to start the day and quickly challenged Cole to an eating contest.
They both ate as fast as they could but it was no use. The hefty pink man finished his plate while Summer was puking and Cole was shoving hot dogs down his throat.
Next, Summer grabbed a snow cone,
and the she set off a firework.
The teens sat down and and watched as the lights glimmered in the evening sky.
Cole whispered in Summer's ear. "I love you."
She was overjoyed with happiness. "I love you too, Cole."
"Prove it. Come with me to the old abandoned house tonight."

Summer felt her heart jump. She had no idea if she was ready for such a big step but if it meant being able to keep the one person around that made her happy, she would do it.

"Alright but you do something for me first." She giggled

"What?"
"Okay okay you've had your fun. Shall we go now?" Cole sighed looking at his pale zebra striped skin.

Summer answered him by pulling in for another kiss.
When they arrived Summer was extremely nervous. Cole hugged her and told her that it would be alright.
Once inside, Summer demanded Cole shower off his spray tan before they went any further.
Of course, Cole obliged. Then, he gave her a final kiss...
and they went to bed.
Afterwards, Summer had no regrets and headed home in the best of moods.
However, the timeout she received upon arriving home was not as pleasant.
"My birthday is tomorrow. Do they really have the right to put me on timeout?" She grumbled to herself.
