1.25 - Fearless

"Bye mom! I'm off to school!"

"Bye Hunny!"
Cami had successfully hidden her pregnancy from her mother for a few weeks now. She was barely showing but it was still a chore. She ate dinner after the rest of the family and would always walk past her mother only when her back was turned.

Most of the time Cami would come home and her mother would be busy  painting so Cami could just run up to her room and take the nap she desperately needed. Today however, Summer was standing outside waiting for Cami.
Summer had gotten a phone call from the school requesting that Cami attend the seminar about teenage parenting after school.

Summer had been puzzled at first but eventually it hit her. Her baby was pregnant.
Summer had failed as a good mother and now her daughter was an unwed teenage mother. Now she had one daughter who ran off to god knows where and another with a baby in her belly.

She stood outside in the snow and began to panic as Cami walked toward her.
"Mom? What's going on?" Cami asked.
"Cami?" Summer paused. She stared at her daughter's swollen belly. The tight dress still fit but it showed the slight bump in her abdomen.
"Are you pregnant?" she asked. Her tone sounded harsh. She had not meant to come off so strong but she couldn't help it.
"Mom! Please don't be mad. I know it was stupid. It's all my fault. Just please don't yell at me."
"Ya. I am pregnant."
 Summer took a deep breathe and fought back tears.
 "It's Daniel's baby. I lied about Drama club. I'm so sorry Momma."
 Cami hung her head and waited for her mother's screams.

Summer clentched her fists  and help back the anger. Anger wouldn't solve anything. Bessie yelled at Summer for everything but that never made Summer a better kid. It just drove her away.
 "I'm sorry too Cami. I should have taught you better. I should have talked to you more."
 "It's not your fault Mom. I made the decision to sleep with him. I wanted to. You couldn't have stopped me.  Mom, please don't cry."

Summer held her daughter in her arms. Maybe she was laying the guilt card a little too hard but at least Cami was getting the message. They were both sorry. They both made mistakes but at least Summer could help Cami through hers.

"Hey Rosie. Thanks for letting me come by to talk to you."
"You listened to me deliver my son. I can listen to anything you need to say."
"It's Cami. She's pregnant! I feel horrible."
"Jessie ran off and I haven't heard from her since she left. She's not even in town anymore. Gosh Rosie, I'm a horrible parent."
"Shut the hell up. You are not a horrible parent. Your kid made a mistake. You can't stop your kids from making mistakes. How else are they supposed to learn?"
"I know but this is such a huge mistake!"
"It's pretty big but it's not the end of the world. Now stop and think about how scared you are. How scared do you think Cami is? Stop worrying about how you could have prevented this and help her get through it. Last thing you want to do is push her away"
"But I am scared Rosie."

"Hide it. You're a parent. You're supposed to be fearless in the face of danger."
"Okay. Thanks Rosie."

"Anytime. Call me anytime you need me okay?"

"Okay"
~~~~
"Daniel. Hi. Um, no I can't come over right now but can you meet me at the cafe? It's time to talk.
**************
Haha. That's my attempt at a cliff hanger. What will happen with Daniel? Will Summer be an adult about this? Will the baby be a fairy? Will it be only one baby? I'm not telling you!
1.24 - Even the Horse Can Tell
 It had been a few weeks since they started their 'relationship'. Everyday after school Cami would ride the bus to Daniel's house and they would just sit and talk.
Okay so it was more grunting than talking but Cami was not complaining.
"It's my birthday soon." she mumbled between kisses. "I want you to meet my mom. I want to make sure she likes you before we get too serious."
Daniel pushed her off. "Serious? Cami we never said we were serious. I like the way things are right now."
"Daniel? I'm sorry. I don't want to pressure you but I really do like you. I can see myself with you for the rest of my life."
"Were just teens." Daniel said firmly. "We don't need to think about marriage. We should just have fun. How about we think about that stuff later?"
He leaned in to kiss her and she kissed him back.
"Okay," she said "but we will talk about it soon ok?"
"Sure. Now let's have some fun."
After the tussle, Cami fell asleep and Daniel lay beside her. Once she was unconscious Daniel slid out of the bed without a word.
Cami stood in the barn. She had been throwing up the past few mornings and lately her tummy seemed to be sticking out more than usual. Her feet hurt if she walked for too long and she felt slower. It seemed pretty obvious what was wrong to her. Even the horse could tell.
It was early in the morning when she got confirmation.
She knocked on Zebrina's door. "Can I talk to you in the kitchen?"
Zebrina looked at her sister. Cami seemed scared. Her head was down and her lip was quivering. "Uh, sure."
Rina sat down but Cami made snacks before joining her at the table.
"Cami? What's wrong?"
Cami stuttered a bit but then took a mouthful of sandwich.
"I'm pregnant." Cami stated.
Zebrina chocked on her food.
"It's Daniel's baby." Cami whispered over Rina's gagging.
"Wait? You're pregnant? Like there is a baby inside of you?"
 "Uh. Yep."
Zebrina stared at the wall in shock.
"How could you get pregnant? Where do you find the time to get pregnant? If you aren't home you're at Drama club. When did you get pregnant?"
"I'm not in Drama club."
 "So you lied and were screwing Daniel this whole time? Why would you do that! You know where babies come from! How can you be that stupid?"
Cami stared off and felt her lip quiver again. She stood up and tried to walk away but Zebrina caught her arm and made her turn around.
"I'm sorry." Cami cried. "Daniel is the only person who really pays me attention. He's nice to me."
"He's using you! All he wanted was to get into your pants. He did the same thing with all his other little girlfriends. You know that!"
"But he treated me different. He doesn't show me off like his latest lay. He respects me so that's why he stays away from me at school. He said he doesn't want people to look at me bad because I'm with him. He wanted to be with me and I wanted to be with him!"
"He cares about me! He really does." She tried to defend herself.
"He's just scared about being committed. He will help me raise the baby. He has to!" She felt her voice shaking.
"I just need help!" she cried. "I'm so sorry! Please don't tell mom. I'll do it I promise but please help me! I need a friend. Rina..."
"Of course I'll help Cami. You did something stupid but I don't want to see you miserable. You're my sister so I'm forced to love you."
They embraced in a big hug and Cami smiled between tears.
"Hi baby. I'm Auntie Rina. Hi!" she cooed to the tiny child.
"It'll be okay Cami. It's not the end of the world. Plus you get to have this cute little baby as a prize."
************************************
Okay, ya I know that was fast. But really I had nothing planned for their teens and then Cami goes and gets herself knocked up. I mean she visited Daniel three times and they would do nothing but make-out and woohoo the whole visit. I have teen risky at 5% but still....I should have watched her closer.
I loved all the faces Rina made. The speech bubbles fit perfectly too!
1.23 - It Was Easy
"What the hell Jessie!"
She was gone! All of her stuff was gone and she never bothered to tell anyone she was leaving.
Why would she just leave? She had it pretty good here. She never had to clean her own room, dinner was always in the fridge for her, she had the largest room of them all and she could come and go as she pleased. So what if Summer tried to instill a sense of responsibility in her every now and then. What mother wouldn't?
Jessie was gone and the family slowly returned back to normal. The puppies aged into adults so Zebrina took them to the pet shop to find them a new home. However, when she came out $800 richer she could see a future in breeding.
If puppies could be sold for a nice wad of cash how much could ponies be worth?After all, they had enough stalls to fit quite a few horses. All she needed was to get to the Equestrian center and impregnate Star. Now, if only she could ride her correctly.
Zebrina went in with one horse and came out with two.
Fuego was just adorable. His flame like pattern drew the eye in and his breeding made him a natural race horse.
Fuego set the family back quite a bit, but he seemed to be worth it. If Zebrina trained him hard enough they could win international races and bring home big cash prizes. On top of that, she could breed pups and ponies and really bring home the bacon!
The breeding part was easy. Put them in a room together and soon enough you get a baby! The hard part was training the little ones not bark or whinny all the time.
~~~~~~~~~~

"Hey Daniel." Cami waved.
"Hey Cutie Pie. What are you doing here?"

"Um, I..." she stuttered "I just wanted to say hi. I'm sorry about the party. I really wish you could have stayed longer."
"Ya, I wish I could have too. It would have been great to talk to you more. Y'know away from everyone." He leaned in a little closer and Cami felt herself catch her breath.
"Haha." she laughed nervously. Daniel was so cute. His hair shined, his wings matched the soft color of his skin, and he always seemed to have a charming aura about him.
"You look lovely tonight Cami but you seem a little tense. Turn around."

She gave him a quick look but then turned around slowly. His hands fell upon her shoulders and began working around in circular motion. She eased into his touch and let out a silent sigh. His touch felt soft but strong enough to work the muscles in a way that made her feel weightless.
 When he ran his fingers through her hair she shivered a bit. Daniel turned her around and asked "Is everything alright? I hope I didn't hurt you."
She smiled weakly and shook her head.

"Daniel, I really enjoy hanging out with you. I'm just kind of worried. You hang out with a lot of girls at school."
Daniel laughed. Ya I do. But none of them are as pretty and luscious as you." He grabbed her hands and gave her a sweet smile.
Cami shut her eyes and smiled back at him. She could feel her lips hunger for his touch. So she took a deep breath and leaned in to kiss him.
When he felt her pulling away he took the lead and pulled her close to him. He bit her lip and slid into her mouth with slight force.
After a while they pulled apart. Cami was breathing hard and could feel her knees shaking.

"It's getting kind of cold out. Why don't you come inside." Daniel suggested in a deep seductive voice.
Cami bit her lip and nodded her head slowly. A smile crept over both of their faces as they entered Daniels room.
